I am so glad that Rick Warren made a special video just for his response to the bill!!! He really made it clear that he didn’t approve of the bill and it wasn’t exactly his place to interfere with the polotics of another country, but he did say that is was his responsibility to respond to moral issues. I totally agree!

Wow. That was a completely fantastic video. I am so glad that Rick Warren really stepped up to his role as a influential pastor and spoke out against this bill. He did a excellent job of clarifying that he does not support this bill in anyway and that the Ugandan Pastors need to speak up about this bill and how it is not only non-Christian, but that it is just wrong. I also liked how Mr. Warren tied in the Christmas celebration into this. He was telling the world the real reason for Christmas while he was disclaiming this bill. I also liked how he clearly defined marriage, in a non condescending way.

Rick Warren really stepped up in his role as a pastor and spoke out against the bill but the Ugandan pastor really need to man up and speak his say on the bill. I have a feeling that one pastor is all show and no go and the other pastor is honest and speaks his mind and fulfills what he promises.

The pastor who is all show is the Ugandan pastor and the Rick Warren is the pastor is the one who speaks his mind and fulfills his promises.

I also liked the fact that Rick tied in the christmas story into the disclaiming of the bill.

I agree with everyone else this is a really good video. Rick Warren did a good job when he spoke out against this bill. Seems he is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He did a great job in clarifying all the issue’s and points that are wrong with the bill and gives clear reasons why the bill is wrong. He uses the bible to clear up his points so that nothing can be misunderstood. He also did a good job explaining the true meaning of Christmas.

I am really, not only pleased by Mr. Warren’s response, but I am also encouraged by what He stated. He is a wise man and I respect Him for standing up for what is right. By watching the first video, I developed a presupposition about Mr. Warren without knowing the entire story. This reminds me that esp. as Christians, we can not judge based on just one source, we have to look deeper because we can make responses that could hurt a child of God. Mr. Warren had some great point in this video. He knew exactly why (5 reasons) the bill was wrong and He also kept on encouraging not only the Uganda pastors, but Christians everywhere. The end of the video was also a great reminder of what Christmas is really about. Celebration (of the birth of Christ) Salvation and Reconciliation. May Jesus be glorified this season!
